But in a church meeting I would much rather speak five understandable words that will help others than ten thousand words in an unknown language.

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things

14 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,15 lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name.16 Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas.
